Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Version 1.0 — August 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to paid subscriptions to Groager (Free Audit, Starter, Growth, Business, and Agency plans), provided by Kommireddy Hemanth Kumar, a sole proprietorship operating under the brand name “Groager”. All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as the Merchant of Record and reseller for your subscription. Refunds, where approved, are issued back through Paddle to your original payment method. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Section 5.

1. All Sales Are Final

Except where required by applicable law, all subscription fees are non-refundable. By subscribing to a paid plan, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • All payments made for the Service are final;
  • No refunds are issued for partial billing periods or for the unused portion of a subscription you cancel mid-cycle;
  • No refunds are issued simply because you did not use the Service during a paid period.

2. The Free Audit Plan Has No Refundable Fees

The Free Audit plan is not paid for, so there is nothing to refund on it. If you are on Free Audit and believe you were charged in error, that charge relates to a different plan or a past subscription — contact us at groagerai@gmail.com and we will investigate.

3. Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings (consolidated on our Pricing page for logged-in accounts).
  • Cancelling stops future renewal charges — it does not trigger a refund of the current billing period.
  • Your access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. After that period ends, your account reverts to the Free Audit tier (or is restricted, depending on the plan).

3.1 Cancellation Is Not the Same as Account Deletion

Cancelling your subscription only stops future billing and reverts your plan tier at the end of the paid period — it does not delete your account or your Customer Data. Your account, analytics history, and audit history remain in our system (accessible again if you resubscribe) unless you separately request account deletion. See our Terms of Service, Section 16, and our Privacy Policy, Section 10, for exactly what is and isn't automatically deleted, and how to request deletion.

4. Failed Payment Handling

If a renewal payment fails (e.g. an expired card), we do not immediately cut off access. Your subscription is marked “past due” and you get a 7-day grace period to update your payment method — during this window your plan access continues normally. If payment succeeds within the 7 days, billing resumes with no interruption and no refund is relevant (nothing was lost). If payment still hasn't succeeded after 7 days, your account is automatically downgraded to Free Audit; this is not a refund event, since the prior period you did have access to was already paid for and used.

5. Upgrade & Downgrade Billing

Changing your plan is handled either through a new Paddle checkout for the new plan (from our Pricing page) or through the Paddle-hosted billing portal (“Manage billing”, available from your account). In both cases, Paddle — as Merchant of Record — processes the billing change and applies its own standard proration rules for the remainder of your current billing period; Groager does not run separate proration logic of our own on top of Paddle's. If you have a question about how a specific upgrade or downgrade was billed, Paddle's receipt/invoice for that transaction is the authoritative record — contact us and we can help you track it down.

6. Duplicate Payments

If you believe you were charged twice for the same billing period (e.g. due to a checkout retry or a processing glitch), email groagerai@gmail.com with both transaction references (or forward the Paddle receipt emails) and we will investigate and refund any genuine duplicate charge in full. This is reviewed and processed manually — there is currently no automated duplicate-charge detection in the product, so please report it rather than assume it will be caught automatically.

7. Promotional Discounts

Amounts waived or discounted under a promotional code, trial, or special offer are not refundable — there is nothing to refund on the portion you never paid. Where a discount applied to only part of a billing period, any refund granted under Section 8 below is calculated on the amount actually paid, not the plan's standard list price.

8. Exceptions Required by Law

Some jurisdictions grant buyers statutory rights that override a seller's standard no-refund policy — for example, statutory cooling-off/withdrawal rights for consumers in the European Union and United Kingdom under applicable consumer protection law. Where such a mandatory right applies to your purchase, we (and Paddle, as Merchant of Record) will honor it. Outside of such legally-mandated cases, refunds are granted only at our discretion — for example, where a clearly accidental renewal charge occurred (e.g. you cancelled before renewal but were charged due to a processing error), or where the Service was unavailable to you for a significant portion of a billing period due to an issue on our side. Contact us and we will review any such request in good faith.

9. Refund Abuse Protection

We reserve the right to decline a discretionary refund (i.e. one not mandated by law under Section 8) where we reasonably believe it reflects a pattern of abuse — for example, repeated subscribe-use-refund cycles on the same account or organization, or a refund request following behavior that otherwise breaches our Terms of Service's Acceptable Use section. We reserve this right narrowly, for genuine abuse patterns, not as a way to avoid legitimate requests.

10. How to Request a Refund

Email groagerai@gmail.com with your account email and the reason for your request. Because Paddle is the merchant of record, you may also be able to request a refund directly through Paddle's own support channels, referencing your order/receipt from Paddle. We will respond to refund requests within a reasonable time, generally within 5 business days.

11. Refund Processing

  • Where a refund is approved (whether under Section 8's legal exceptions or at our discretion), it is issued by Paddle back to your original payment method.
  • Processing times depend on your card issuer or payment method and are outside our direct control — typically 5–10 business days after Paddle processes the refund.
  • Refunds are issued in the currency and amount originally charged, less any portion (if applicable) already consumed under the “Service issues” provision in Section 8.

12. Chargebacks

Please contact us before filing a chargeback. If you have a billing concern, email groagerai@gmail.com first so we can resolve it directly — most billing issues can be fixed faster this way than through a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without contacting us first may result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated;
  • Us disputing the chargeback with your card network by providing evidence of service delivery (e.g. your account's usage history) if we believe it is unwarranted;
  • Restriction on creating a new Groager account in future, if the chargeback is determined to be fraudulent rather than a genuine billing error.

None of this applies to a chargeback you are legitimately entitled to — it is aimed at cases where contacting us directly would have resolved the issue just as well, without the cost and delay of a bank dispute on either side.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Changes apply prospectively to purchases made after the update; they do not retroactively change the terms of a purchase you already made.

14. Contact

Billing, cancellation, and refund questions: groagerai@gmail.com. We currently use this single address for all inquiries; a dedicated billing@groager.com address is a planned future improvement once we have email hosting set up for our own domain, not yet in place today.
